Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is centered around creating a loving, comfortable, calm environment for all of my students to learn and feel welcome in. My students will feel safe in my classroom and know that I care about them. I will have classroom rules that create a safe classroom, work for all of my students, and encourage them to be the best version of themselves. We will work together as a whole class to make sure that we all uphold the rules and keep each other accountable. I will ensure that any and all student needs are met in my classroom, big or small. Every one of my students will be given opportunities and tools to grow their skills in my classroom. I will give each and every student the ability to learn the best they can and be there for my students in every way that I can.

My classroom management philosophy is centered around having a safe, calm, learning environment for my students. My classroom will have classroom rules that ensure safety and learning in my classroom. We will say our class promise every morning at morning meeting (see class promise above). For my reward system, my students and I will pick out a reward they work towards as a group. I will have a Star Jar and when students are following classroom rules and expectations I will put a star in the Star Jar. When we fill the Star Jar up students will get the reward they chose as a class. I will also have punch cards. Punch cards will be an individual reward system where if I see a student doing their job, following expectations, etc. they will get a punch on their card. When a student fills up their punch card they will get to come to my teacher shop. I also plan to have small 3D printed silent snails. These silent snails will be a way to keep the classroom quiet. When students are not being quiet that student's snail goes in Snail Jail and when they can prove to me that they are going to be quiet they will be able to bail their snail out of Snail Jail.

These are the ways I plan to have classroom management in my classroom. To ensure that students feel and know they are loved, welcomed, and safe I will build strong relationships with each of my students. Ensuring that I have a relationship with all of my students and their families is very important to me.
