For my second practicum experience I was placed in a fifth grade room with Katie Johnson at Grimsrud Elementary School in Bismarck, ND. Mrs. Johnson taught me lots of tools and skills I will use in my future classroom.

In the first week of practicum, math, language arts, social studies, science, and I integrated art into my science lesson. We did food chain art and the students also made their own presentation on the animal they choose. Each student did a different animal.

In the second week of practicum, I taught one full afternoon and one full morning the next day. This helped me to understand getting everything ready for the next school day. I also did a five day math intervention with a student.

Throughout the weeks in between practicum I have been doing reading assessments with a student and then doing a reading intervention once a week with that student.
